    Orca
Wetsuits
If you are
hunting for wetsuits you might want to look into Orca
wetsuits. There is a variety to choose from in their
manufacturing line, making it difficult trying to figure out
which one you should pick up. But then the price, the
material and the fitting are all of importance when you
decide on a wetsuit, and here one would say that the Orca
Predator Wetsuit is the best of the lot – but like any
reviewer passing the buck, all according to their tastes,
the other varieties of Orca Wetsuits need to be examined as
well before you can say this for
certain.
Orca
Predator
We cannot
say anything bad about Orca Predator, because it is a well
made, well designed piece, made of 5mm Yamamoto #39 rubber,
SCS-coated, with 2mm rubber in the arms. One may say
the rubber is not 2mm and it may be just 1.5
mm
Orca
wetsuits are known for their sewing and gluing standards and
this wetsuit is no exception. Wetsuits shouldn’t leak, and
this doesn’t either. With perfect neck-fit, seams in place,
and the panels for the arm, shoulder and armpit provided
with a flexible jersey which can stretch to triple the
un-stretched size, it is a masterpiece of a creation. The
provision of the zipper is also extremely well thought
out.
Be careful
in trying the size though. Say if you’re 6”2” tall,
and you choose 8-size; the chart might mislead you.
Since you are taller size 8 may not suit you. Hence
don’t go by the charts; before purchasing you may have a
trial fitting.
In that
sense the Orca Predator Wetsuit may not have been made for
tall people, but there are plenty of other varieties in Orca
wetsuits, which you can try and take the one that best, fits
you. Even if it’s a wee bit shorter for the tall
person, the Orca Predator has flexible arms, which can
prompt you to ignore the short length
The Orca
Predator is priced at $380, which is worth it, considering
the kind of rubber and the comfortable design they have come
out with, though the feeling that it is a wee bit shorter
for tall people may persist.
Exclusive
features
The Aqua
Grip feature on the Orca Predator sleeves gives you a padded
surface. Made of shark skin, it may trap air, but you need
not worry because the fine mesh used for this feature has
miniscule indentations which ensure the air is not
caught. It also doesn’t result in any kind of
loss in swim stroke efficiency.
The Orca
Predator will not give any kind of problem in arms, legs or
body, but when you are planning to keep it for a couple of
years, ensure that the size fits you. Out of all the Orca
wetsuits, the Orca Predator is so good that you may just
want to sleep in it.
